Book of aphorisms on personality. The clash between two states: laughter and wisdom in four acts: scorn versus the plague; derision versus hunger; irony versus war; humor versus death. The clash is sublimated by the typographical composition and the detailed finishes. The texts comprise “footnotes and counter-footnotes”, thus obliging the reader to turn the book as they read. This book is based on the essay-work, The Laughter, by Henri Bergson (1900). Each partition has four sub-chapters that are marked at the top (the laughter side) with different ink from the colour palette used for the top half of the cover: ultramarine blue, turquoise, white and yellow.
