Collection of aphorisms around religion (God), published in the year of the Exposition of the Portuguese world (1940), following the same logic of the book Spirit. The quotations are organised thematically according to each extension of religion. Cantos typographically evokes the 1939 New York Fair and in particular Joseph Reiner’s statuary dedicated to the theme of speed, which advocated the monumentalist style with slight references to Art Deco.
